Emmy Hair the Best and Worst

Emmy Hair Jamie-Lynn Sigler

Emmy Hair the Good, Bad and the Ugly

“Emmy Hair Winners and Losers”Emmy hair and fashions were all over the map at this years awards. The dresses were sleeveless, one shoulder, some short but mostly long gowns and no one particular style or color dominated the runways. The colors of the gowns mostly included, shades of reds, blacks, whites and a variety of blues.

Emmy hair styles however, were a bit more predictable. For mid length and longer hair the most coveted updos were buns with hair swept back and totally off the face with just a slight lift on top. Most the women who wore this look, appeared elegant and right for the occasion. Another fabulous Emmy hair style for long hair included regular and side-swept ponytails. Great news for all who are looking for the right hair style for that next big soiree! You can do this quick and easily at home. The best hair styles at the Emmy Awards were simple and sweet.

Jamie-Lynn Sigler gets my vote for ‘Best Emmy Hair’ at 2009 awards. A best hair style looks ‘best’ when it works right with the total look, the dress, jewelry and the woman. Jamie wears the perfect elegant swept back updo, with a touch of height on top and crystal drop earrings. The hair style has an understated elegance that lets her beauty show through and her gorgeous Donna Karan gown shine!

Emmy Hair of Kaley Cuoco

Emmy Hair of Kaley Cuoco

Kaley Cuoco of ‘The Big Bang Theory’ was another favorite Emmy hair style pick of mine. Her long two toned hair color, darker blonde on underneath layers and lighter blonde on top was gorgeous with her two tone gold dress!  And her soft big curls looked sultry and sweet! The combination of great hair color and big natural looking curls gave her hair style class for this special occasion.

Emmy Hair Debra Messing

Emmy Hair Debra Messing

Love her! Once again she puts together a great hair style and total look! Debra is wearing a low slightly off center ponytail, lightly curled, with a straightened side swept bang. Some pictures at the 2009 Emmy Awards, show her with her pony swept to her bare shoulder side for a trendy but casual and elegant look with this dress!

Worst Hairstyles at 2009 Emmy Awards

Emmy Hair Joely Fisher

Emmy Hair Joely Fisher

Joely Fisher shows us all ‘what not to do!” Wouldn't someone tell her it's all ‘overdone’? She gets a ‘worst Emmy hair’ cause it just accentuates (all in the wrong way) her entire look . . . can't decide if she should be going to the prom or be in a back to the 60’s wedding party? Are those love-locks?

Emmy Hair Leighton Meester

Emmy Hair Leighton Meester

Another Emmy hair mess. I just think the hair style, being that this is the Emmy Awards and that you, a Gossip Girl, has been asked to be a presenter... could be a bit more special. Maybe it started out better at home, but in the vein of going casual, it got up and went!

Antonio Banderas Haircuts - Cool Celebrity Hairstyles

There's a perfect balance of masculine and feminine features which makes a man irresistibly sexy. Pretty boys like Brad Pitt and Johnny Depp look best when they're a bit rough round the edges (stubble, scruffy hair, etc.) whereas big blokes with more masculine features, such as Antonio Banderas, need long girly hair to soften their look. Antonio Banderas’s is the best example of Latino lover, check this cool pictures of Antonio Banderas:

Hair Extensions

Hair Extensions

The Three Most Popular Types of Hair Extensions

Clip-In Hair Extensions

Jessica Simpson Hair Extensions

HairDo my favorite hair extensions

Clip-in hair extensions just keep becoming more and more popular because of their ease and versatility. With clip-in hair extensions you can add hair just for one night or add in a strand or two of a contrasting color just for fun. Clip-in hair extensions offer length and thickness those other types of hair extensions offer but without the commitment of both money and time.“Hair Extensions Can Be Real Expensive”You can expect to pay around $100 for full clip-in hair extensions like Jessica Simpson and Ken Paves line called, HairDo. If you simply want to add in a strand or two of color, expect to pay about $10-$30 per colored strand. Also, keep in mind that these prices are for synthetic hair extensions, which cannot be styled with heated styling tools. For clip-in human hair extensions, expect to pay twice as much, if not more.

I recommend clip-in hair extensions to my clients who want longer, thicker hair for just one night or for occasional use. We get lots of requests for clip-in hair extensions at the shop just before prom. Clip-in hair extensions are ideal for creating new dos for prom or anytime. They are affordable, easy to work with and can be used over and over again... that's why they are my favorite!

Weave-In Hair Extensions

Weave-In Hair Extensions

Weave-in hair extensions are most popular in the African-American community Weave-in hair extensions have been around for such a long time. This hair extension application method is popular in the black hair community. The way hair extensions are weaved in is that a portion or all of your natural hair is braided up and then a hair net is placed over the braided hair. Human hair is then weaved into or sewn into the braids or the hair net. This gives someone who doesn't have ideal hair naturally the opportunity to have the illusion of long, thick, silky hair. Weave-in hair extensions vary so greatly in prices depending on the cost of the hair, how much hair you are using and the cost that the hairdresser charges you for the service. They can run from the high hundreds to even a few thousand dollars!
