Autumn Styling Without Tools

This autumn is going to be hotter than ever - why add to the heat with irons and other heat tools?

Autumn Styling Without Tools

Check out these awesome ideas from celebrity hair stylist Nick Arrojo - on how to achieve autumn hair style, minus the tools!

Twists/waves

For a wavy textural style, start by applying a mixture of styling creme and hair creme in damp hair. Then pull your hair back into two low pony tails. (Try adding a deep side part to give the style some variety.)

Take one of the ponytails out of the tie and separate into two sections, then twist together and secure into a bun with bobby pins. Do the same with the other ponytail. You can either sleep with this style in your hair, then unravel the next morning for sexy, messy texture, or keep the twisted buns throughout the day and take them out for post-work day fun. Unravel the twists, put a dab of hair creme on your finger tips and give your hair a good shake - and you’re done! This is also a great alternative to braids - when you use braids in the same way, they sometimes come out too kinky when you let your hair down. The twists give you more uniform waves.

Beach Style

For a natural beachy look, use about 5 pumps of ARROJO detangling foam on wet hair, comb through then scrunch hair towards the roots and let your hair air dry naturally. There is just the slightest bit of hold in the foam that will leave you with a perfectly wavy “just off the beach” style. If you actually are at the beach or the pool also spray some Thermal Protector on your hair, it has UV protection which protects your hair from sun damage and keeps your color vibrant.

Slick and Smooth

A great look for autumn that takes almost no time at all is a chic, slicked back pony tail. Use hair gel in damp, towel dried hair and smooth your hair into a pony tail at the nape of your neck and secure with a hair tie. For a polished look, take a strand of hair from the bottom of the pony tail and wrap it around the base of the pony tail, then tuck the end in and secure with a bobby pin. Mist lightly with a holding spray for a style that will stay in place all day. This is also an ideal style for active women, who want a no-fuss style that they can wear anywhere - work, the gym or even date night.

Naturally Frizz Free

To control frizz while keeping a playful, messy style start with damp towel dried hair and massage Volume Foam into your roots at the crown of your head (This will give your hair some lift and body with light hold) Then gently work a small amount of Frizz Control in with your hands and let your hair air dry. Using a creme based product like Frizz Control keeps your hair moisturized and as a result it will feel soft and stay frizz free. This method works for any hair type, curly and wavy styles will be soft and natural while women with straighter hair will get sexy, piece-y, separation.

Short Prom Hairstyle

Have you got a new hair ideas for your prom night? If you are thinking about choosing one of the short prom hairstyles for your special night, be sure you keep in mind as you shop for your dress. There are several hair styles that bring out the best in a short prom hairstyle and make you look beautiful!

The layer, textured cut is a great example of a cute short prom hair style 2010 that has plenty of movement, cut just shy of the length of a short bob. This hairstyle is more flexible than shorter cuts making it very popular. It focuses attention on the face and with swept bangs; it brings a sparkle to your prom night.

The problem with the pixie cut as a short prom hairstyle is that the “boy cut,” look is out of sync with formal attire that is traditional on prom night. This is the one night where most girls want to look 100% female. You can make the pixie cut work for you if you want your facial area prominently on display, with a side-swept fringe for added impact.
If you are considering coloring your hair, be sure to choose a shade that will complement your dress as well as your skin tone. Selecting the right short prom hairstyle for your facial shape is important, but to keep it looking great you will need to visit the salon for regular trims. Otherwise, if you let your hair grow more than a half an inch, the haircut will look different and may be not in a positive way.
